We believe that empowerment enables people to access productive resources and participate in decision-making processes that affect their lives. However, constraints to empowerment include unequal power relations, lack of opportunities, lack of capacity and inequalities between gender, ethnicity, religion, location, disability or age.
Since 2016, CSC-Asbl has opened its doors to assist survivors and victims of wars and ethnic conflicts in eastern DRC.
The CSC-Asbl team strives to assist survivors and victims of trauma events so that they no longer experience misfortune and can rebuild themselves in a socially acceptable way.
